Sweet Fellowship

Well, we just said goodbye to a load of friends that came by for dinner tonight. It's been months since we've done any entertaining, and we cooked a big meal tonight for 7 of our friends. The menu was:

Appetizer: Olivada (spread) made from Kalamata olives, olive oil, and herbs)

Salad: Spinach salad with warm bacon dressing

Main Course:

Roast Pork Shoulder with apples and oni0ns (had a nice spice rub, too)

Pan-Roasted Asparagus with Asiago Cheese and garlic

Jenny's famous mashed potatoes

Dessert: Individual Chocolate Volcano Cakes with Espresso Ice Cream

Our friend David (Amy's husband) was not able to make it tonight, so we sent a plate home with Amy.

We love entertaining friends at home, and really enjoyed the fellowship and converstation around the table.

Here's to 3 day weekends!!!!

Sorry, no pictures, but we'll get around to it soon.

Celebrations

May 2006

We celebrated 2 big events in one weekend! Paul, Nate's brother, graduated from law school at SIU. We were so proud of him!

Then we were off to St. Charles, MO for Mother's Day. Both families were able to gather together to celebrate. It was a special first for Jenny and for the grandmothers. Emmelia is the first grandchild for both families. Family time is so precious!

Proud grandmothers Sue, Pat, and Judy

Happy New Year!

We would like to share some of our 2006 memories with you.

April 2006

We celebrated our first Easter with Emmelia a week after she was born. We were so thrilled that Emmelia was finally here. It is amazing how much love a heart can hold. What a special Easter gift!

A very special Easter

A proud daddy!

We were so thankful to have family spend time with us. Jenny's brother, Chris, was able to come and visit!
